This progressive city, known as the unofficial coffee shop capital of the world, skateboarding, grunge, rainy days, and a big Space Needle, has a lot more going for it than java and computer geeks — even if it is home to Starbucks and Microsoft.
Diversity and tradition fill the streets of Seattle, despite the city's relatively brief history. For many who live here, however, the blue skies, abundant water and picturesque mountain ranges are what keep them firmly planted in this beautiful city.
And besides, it really doesn’t rain that much in Seattle, it just seems that way because of all the cloudy days. Except for the 26 straight days of rain last year.
